Description

A career with purpose, a lifestyle with balance - welcome to work in the mountains! Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about protecting public health and the environment? We’re looking for a Utility Service Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting compliance, data management, and customer service across programs like Backflow Prevention and Cross Connection Control (BPCCC), Fats, Oils, and Grease Control (FOG), and Meter Services. This is an opportunity to work in a mission-driven organization where your administrative, field, and analytical skills directly contribute to water quality and regulatory compliance in our community.

Why work for us? Working at ERWSD means being part of a team dedicated to delivering essential water and wastewater services with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. Join us to help shape the future of water resource management while meeting the evolving needs of our community and regulatory standards.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

As a Utility Service Coordinator, you’ll provide program coordination and administrative oversight, from scheduling inspections and maintaining complex databases to reviewing technical documents and drafting outreach materials. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for businesses, residents, and regulatory agencies, and help ensure our programs run smoothly, meet performance goals, and comply with state and federal regulations. If you thrive on managing details, communicating clearly, making systems more efficient, and have strong interpersonal skills, we’d love to meet you.

  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE: Oversee the administrative and analytical functions of BPCCC, FOG Control, Meter Services, and other regulatory programs. Lead program development, implementation, and performance tracking. Review technical documents and ensure compliance with District, state, and federal regulations.
  • DATA & RECORDS MANAGEMENT: Maintain and manage complex databases, records, and tracking systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Collect, analyze, and report on program data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • COMMUNICATION & DOCUMENTATION: Draft and edit reports, procedures, compliance letters, instructional materials, and presentations. Serve as a liaison to the public, businesses, and external agencies, explaining policies and resolving compliance inquiries.
  • SCHEDULING & COORDINATION: Coordinate inspections, service visits, meetings, and outreach activities for utility programs.
  • LEADERSHIP & GUIDANCE: Provide training and technical guidance to clerical and administrative staff on policies, documentation, and communication standards.
