“This organization is very dynamic and we’re all really interdependent on each other. We also really value each individual’s role in the organization and their unique contributions. As such, when individuals demonstrate their commitment to performing at a high level, they are given a reasonable degree of autonomy to manage their work and priorities.”

Andrew Kirsch, Vail Water Supervisor – Joined in 1998

“ERWSD is more like a family than a company. I’m given a long leash to be productive, make decisions and do what I do effectively on a daily basis. I get to do a mix of office and field work, which is great. I like driving back from Eagle Park Reservoir and seeing the incredible fall colors.”

Pete Miller, Raw Water Resources Operator – Joined in 1999

“What I like about being at ERWSD is the location. I left the Front Range to get back to the mountains. This is one gigantic adult playground out here. I also really like the people here. Everyone seems really invested in the people that they have. This place doesn’t have a militant atmosphere. Everyone here is here for similar reasons and it shows in people’s interactions and what the District is willing to do for people.”
